M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, also known as Chepauk Stadium, is a cricket stadium located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It has a seating capacity of 38,000 spectators and is named after M. A. Chidambaram, a former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The stadium has been the home ground of the Chennai Super Kings team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the inception of the tournament in 2008.


The M. A. Chidambaram Stadium has hosted several international cricket matches, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. It has also been the venue for several historic cricket moments, including Sunil Gavaskar's 236 not out against the West Indies in 1983 and Sachin Tendulkar's world record 50th Test century in 2008.


The stadium is equipped with modern facilities such as floodlights, a digital scoreboard, and a media center. It has also undergone renovations in the past to improve the seating arrangements and overall infrastructure. Apart from cricket, the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium has also hosted several other events, such as concerts and political rallies.
