পশ্চিমবঙ্গ মধ্যশিক্ষা পর্ষদ কর্তৃক যে সমস্ত মডেল অ্যাক্টিভিটি টাস্ক প্রথম শ্রেণী থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণীর ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জন্য দেওয়া হয়েছিল, সেই সমস্ত প্রশ্নের নির্ভুল এবং যুক্তিসম্মত উত্তর আমাদের ওয়েবসাইটে দেওয়া হয়েছে। এছাড়াও ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে এই সমস্ত উত্তর গুলিকে ইউটিউব ভিডিওর মাধ্যমে বুঝিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

Read the passage carefully and answer the questions that follow :

     You know of course that earth is very, very old-millions and millions of years old. And for a long long time there were no men or women living in it, before the men came there were only animals, and before the animals there was a time when no kind of life existed on the earth. It is difficult to imagine this world of ours which is so full today of all kinds of animals and men, to be without them. But scientists and those who have studied and thought a great a deal about these matters tell us that there was a time when the earth was too hot for any living being to live on it.

ACTIVITY : 1

Answer the following questions in complete sentences :

(i) How old is the earth?

Ans: The Earth millions and millions of years old.

(ii) Describe the earth before man existed.

Ans: Before the men came there were only animals, and before the animals there was a time when no kind of life existed on the earth. 

(iii) Why was there no life on earth?

Answer : Raju is my best friend. We read in the same a class at Gobardanga khantura high school(H.S) . He always helps me to solve my English assignment. He play bat ball and also likes to study and drawing. He is so dependable. But sometime he can be very obstinate. But I don't mind.
