Wankhede Stadium is a cricket stadium located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It has a seating capacity of 33,108 spectators and is named after Sheshrao Wankhede, a cricket administrator from Mumbai. The stadium has been the home ground of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the inception of the tournament in 2008.


The Wankhede Stadium has hosted several international cricket matches, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. It is also famous for hosting the 2011 Cricket World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka, in which India emerged as the champions.


The stadium is equipped with modern facilities such as floodlights, a digital scoreboard, and a media center. It has also undergone renovations in the past to improve the seating arrangements and overall infrastructure. Apart from cricket, the Wankhede Stadium has also hosted several other events, such as concerts and political rallies.
